On September 23, the “2014 Asia Symbol Showcase on Paperboard Products for Food Packaging” was hosted in Landbridge Jinjiang Hotel, Rizhao City, China. Business representatives from trading companies and paper product manufacturers across the country attended the event.

Asia Symbol Showcase Paperboard Products

At the event, Asia Symbol introduced the superior quality, technical features and production standards of its food packaging paperboard products. This was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session with the participants. The business representatives also visited Asia Symbol’s exhibition centre as well as the mill’s central control room, wood chip dock, waste water recycling site and the liquid packaging board production line. The business representatives were impressed by the high-tech production facilities, clean working environment and the efforts expended on environmental protection, which they observed are of such high standard that should be used as benchmarks for industry peers.

The liquid packaging board production line with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons commenced production on June 12th 2014. It has the world’s cutting-edge machinery imported from Germany, that utilizes self-produced wet pulp, therefore minimizing the processes of drying, cropping and transportation, leading to lower cost, optimized product mix, improved product quality, grade and value.. At present, this production line is changing from the manufacture of paper cups and cigarette boxes to liquid packaging paperboard.

Liquid packaging paperboard is the “nobility” among high-grade packaging paperboard products. It has safety, environment-friendly and recyclable features, and is used for packaging beverages such as milk and juices. As more people become environmentally aware and living standards improve, the demand for beverage will grow which will result in huge potential in the liquid packaging paperboard business.
