Congratulations to Pof Stuart Cook, Tanoto Foundation Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine, for having the multinational study on “Titin truncating variants affect heart function in disease cohorts and the general population” where Prof Cook is a co-senior author published in leading medical journal Nature Genetics.

According to an article published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, the prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors like hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes have been decreasing in the United States and Europe, but appear to be on the rise in Asia. Tanoto Foundation is glad to be able to contribute to the advancement of research in this important area through the endowment of a professorship at Duke-NUS.
