Tanoto Foundation continues to help enhance the quality of life for many through the support of the advancement of medical research in ailments that are the leading causes of adult mortality, as well as stroke support.

The Foundation's total SGD 11 million contribution to advancing research in lymphoma, diabetes and heart diseases was done in collaboration with Duke-NUS. The sum was also matched dollar-for-dollar by the Singapore government.

The contribution is aimed at developing research initiatives and professorships for Asia-focused medical research.

Sukanto Tanoto, Founder of Tanoto Foundation, said the Foundation was pleased to support innovative work to find remedies for heart diseases and cancer, which are leading causes of adult mortality.

Mr Tanoto, who is also RGE founder and Chairman, added, “We are hopeful that Asia-focussed lymphoma research will promote breakthroughs in diagnosis and treatment, thereby improving the quality of life for patients and their families.”
