Sateri has released its 2017 sustainability report, documenting the policies, practices and achievements as the global leader in viscose rayon strives to do what is good for the community, country, climate and its customers. 

Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) has become the newest business group to be managed by RGE. Based in Riau, Indonesia, APR will seamlessly source dissolving pulp from co-located RGE pulp and paper business group APRIL to produce viscose fibre. APR’s mill has an initial annual production capacity of 240,000 tonnes and is set to commence production later this year.

This Sustainability Report is the first by Sateri, will henceforth be published annually, underscoring the company's commitment to transparency, responsible sourcing and responsible manufacturing.

Having grown up being exposed to RGE’s operations including spending school holidays immersed in verdant plantations in Pangkalan Kerinci, Riau, the affinity for the businesses that their father RGE Founder and Chairman Sukanto Tanoto established was nurtured early in RGE directors Imelda Tanoto, Belinda Tanoto and Anderson Tanoto.
