Tanoto Foundation announced 5 Nov 2015 that it will work closely with the United Nations Development Programe to establish a joint secretariat in Indonesia to develop and realise Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the national and provincial levels.

The Foundation leverages years of philanthropic work in Indonesia, expressed through its 3 Es programme - Education, Empowerment and Enhancement of Quality of Lives - to develop and realise SDGs at the national and provincial levels.
