Sateri Holdings Limited, one of the biggest producers of cellulose in the world, has been awarded the "4th Asia Excellence Recognition Awards 2014, Best Investor Relations Company (China)" from Corporate Governance Asia. This is the third consecutive year that Sateri has won this award, recognizing Sateri’s proven record in investor relations and corporate governance.

Asian Agri has strengthened its commitment to responsible sourcing for its supply chain, by implementing a policy that requires Asian Agri's independent smallholders and third-party palm oil suppliers to provide legal documentation of its Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) sources. This will ensure that the company's FFB supply comes from legal sources – preventing encroachment of natural forest and protected areas, stopping illegal cultivation activities, and establishing a sustainable supply chain.

Woodfibre LNG, backed by entrepreneur Sukanto Tanoto, has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with the province of British Columbia in the proposed Woodfibre liquefaction and export facility located near Squamish, 70 kilometers northeast of Vancouver. The LOI includes the commitment by the province to formalize its new two-tier tax on LNG export terminals by Nov 30 and Woodfibre LNG expects to complete a project-development agreement with the government by the end of the year.

Jakarta, 29 July 2013 – Tanoto Foundation International and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania announced today the launch of the Tanoto Initiative, a multi-component program to promote studies and research on ASEAN, with a focus on Indonesia. Starting next month, selected Indonesian universities will collaborate closely with faculties in the Wharton School to offer research grants, academic courses, exchange programs and scholarships aimed at deepening thought leadership and business education in the ASEAN region.
