Asian Agri and PT Riau Andalan Pulp & Paper (RAPP), an operations unit of APRIL, were awarded gold & silver medals respectively at the 2014 Indonesia CSR Awards held in Jakarta on 28 November 2014. The awards is held every three years and is hosted by the Corporate Forum for Community Development (CFCD) Indonesia and endorsed by the Coordinating Ministry of Human Development and Culture of Republic of Indonesia.

In 2014, Sateri Holdings Limited received its fourth consecutive award from the publication Capital Weekly. The renowned financial journal presented the company, part of the $15 billion RGE Group headed by Indonesian entrepreneur Sukanto Tanoto, with “The Listed Enterprise Excellence Award. The honor acknowledges Sateri’s all-round excellence in business strategy, its achievements in building and maintaining successful investor relations and implementing high-quality corporate governance structures, and its commitment to corporate social responsibility.

On November 22, 2014, the awards ceremony of 2014 RGE National Children’s Environmental Protection Art Competition: “Our Environment-Friendly Behaviors”, organized by the Center for Environmental Education & Communications (CEEC) of Ministry of Environmental Protection and co-organized by Youth.cn and RGE, was held in Beijing.

APRIL displays its sustainable forest management system, eco-restoration program as well as its fire management capabilities at a forestry exhibition from 12-14 November 2014, organised by the Indonesia Ministry of Environment and Forestry. A towering tree ornament welcomes visitors to APRIL’s booth in the exhibition. Among the visitors is Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya Bakar.

Asia Symbol adheres to the principle of energy saving and emission reduction to protect the environment and lead in the derive towards sustainable pulp and paper production. As such, the company focuses on developing various energy saving and emission reduction initiatives. On 13 October 2014, a reporter was at Asia Symbol (Shandong) Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd.
