RGE Chairman and Founder, Sukanto Tanoto participated in the Boao Forum For Asia (BFA) held from 26 to 28 March 2015. This year’s event, titled "Asia's New Future: Toward a Community of Common Destiny" was attended by more than 2,700 political, business and academic leaders as well as journalists from 49 countries and regions.

The award event for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): The Global CSR Summit & Awards 2015 was held on 19-20 March 2015 at Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Asian Agri was recognised as the company with the “Best Community Program” at the awards ceremony. Asian Agri’s Managing Director, Kelvin Tio, as one of the speakers at the summit, spoke about Asian Agri’s Community Partnership Program - “Growing with smallholders on economic, social and environmental viability since 1987”.

In February 2015, Asia Symbol Pulp & Paper Testing Center in China’s Shandong province is accredited by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standards. This laboratory accreditation attests to the competence of the Asia Symbol Pulp & Paper Testing Center to carry out specific types of testing, measurement and calibration services, thus assuring customers that the test, calibration or measurement data supplied are accurate and reliable.

Tanoto Foundation held a Tanoto Student Research Award 2015 ceremony on 3 March 2015 to laud 12 young researchers from four universities. Since 2007, Tanoto Foundation has been giving out this award to encourage innovation and creativity among young people from North Sumatra University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Bogor Institute of Agriculture, and Hasanuddin University. Each university is provided an annual research grant of 100 million rupiah.

On 26 February 2015, Sateri Holdings Limited, one of the world’s leading producers of specialty cellulose, has undertaken a corporate rebranding initiative upon the sale of its viscose staple fiber operations in China. Reflecting its new focus as a global pure-play dissolving wood pulp producer, it has a new corporate name – Bracell Limited – and a new corporate logo.
